"If
glass ceilings distinguished the heirarchy of rigid organizations, then the glass walls at Great Lakes Strategies, L.L.C. offer an apt metaphor for today's decentralized, more open approach to business."
"Beyond the transparent entry into the company's Birmingham offices, however, is a business philosphy that sounds more rooted in family values than marketplace sagaciousness. Its based, quite simply, on two basic tenets - trust and commitment."
"The proliferation
of management consulting firms like Great Lakes Strategies in
the Future 50 ranks," says Kathryn Johnston, former director of
marketing at BDO Seidman, "points to the paramount need of
companies to control costs and find outsourcing alternatives
to allow them to provide a high-caliber service to clients."
